In our wonderful schools and chadorim, we have many types of beautiful curriculum, which teach many important values. But shouldn’t we have a curriculum which teaches the overall mission of all of Torah and its mitzvos?! Isn’t the time ripe for a curriculum which ingrains a Kiddush Hashem mindset into all of our children?!
Just as a business rises or falls based on its employees’ sense of mission, the Jewish people’s success in their own mission is a function of how deeply they are aware of it.
Middle School Girls Curriculum
Introducing “Mission of a Lifetime” a groundbreaking Middle School Girls Curriculum. Through focused lessons and engaging activities, the students learn to appreciate Kiddush
Hashem as an imperative that affects every aspect of the Torah way of life, whether they are in a crowd or behind closed doors.
Mission of a Lifetime is based on a powerful mashal by Rav Elchonon Wasserman, which likens the Jewish people to the captain of a ship who must steer it to its ultimate destination, the material is presented as a “training course for captains.” This is a vivid way for students to conceptualize their relationship with the rest of the world and to envision their development into Mekadshei Hashem. The curriculum includes a teacher’s guide and a student journal (titled “Navigation Notes”) for each girl to treasure for life.
High School Girls Curriculum
The life-changing, innovative curriculum presented here will foster a Kiddush Hashem mindset for life. Through practical lessons and engaging activities, students will learn to appreciate Kiddush Hashem as a mission that informs every aspect of the Torah way of life in every setting—whether they are in a crowd or behind closed doors.
The principles explored in this curriculum are based on the sefer Mekadshei Shemecha and the Artscroll books Living Kiddush Hashem and A Life Worth Living. These seminal works were developed over many years and were inspired by the lectures of Rav Matisyahu Salomon, the Mashgiach of the Lakewood Yeshiva. These works have been endorsed by many gedolim as critical for our times and have already made an impact on many yeshivos and schools.
